text me when

November 2021

Getting home safe seems like a basic need that everybody should have a right to, yet this is unfortunately not a reality. The sentence text me when you’re home opens up different contexts for each reader. Displayed in public space, in the dark and on the streets that are walked home, its placing has significant potential to stimulate dialogue. Using the existing urban architecture, a lens channels the diffused light of a street lamp to project the sentence onto the floor. Material research and application of the installation are still ongoing.
